"It's been exactly what I needed," Adams said Tuesday at Rams minicamp in Maui, according to team reporter Wyatt Miller. "Feeling rejuvenated and really, really enjoying the time with the guys, getting to know them, getting on the same page with Matthew (Stafford), and just kind of gelling with the whole team right now.
"It feels like I've been on this team for a couple years now, just based off of how open and receptive the guys have been to me."
The star receiver ed the Rams in free agency on a two-year, $44-million deal with $26 million guaranteed. It was Adams' first time as a free agent.
Rams head coach Sean McVay praised Adams' intelligence alongside his physical skills.
"(Adams) sees the game through a quarterback lens, and he's got so many experiences and really understands it from an all-22 perspective," McVay said, adding, "But he loves football. There's a consistent ion. There's a real understanding of how it all fits together, the spacing, timing, rhythm."
The three-time All-Pro is focused on building chemistry with Stafford, including seeing the game the same way as the Super Bowl champion quarterback. In particular, he said he appreciates the veteran er's aggressiveness in attacking any misstep he sees in a defense.
"Based off a couple we had today, (Stafford) don't care what that coverage says," Adams said. "If they're not playing that coverage right, you might get the ball still. ... And you got to be a dog to do that. You got to have a lot of confidence in your arm, in who's across from you, who you're throwing the ball to."
He added, "If you got a guy like that, that's gonna make you defend it the proper way, not just allow you to display a coverage and that dictate where the ball goes, you in trouble."
