Former Memphis guard PJ Haggerty has withdrawn from the NBA draft and has committed to Kansas State, he told ESPN's Jonathan Givony. 124f2g
Haggerty entered the portal in April. He was reportedly seeking at least $4 million from his new team, but Kansas State guaranteed him $2 million in NIL in addition to $500K in incentives, sources told college basketball insider Adam Zagoria.
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 21.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game for Memphis this past season and was named a second-team All-American for his play.
The 5-seeded Tigers lost to No. 12 Colorado State in the first round of March Madness.
Haggerty previously played at TCU and Tulsa before ing Memphis, averaging 21.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists with the Golden Hurricanes in 2023-24.
Kansas State is 61-42 since Jerome Tang took over in 2022. The Wildcats made the Elite Eight in 2023, but have not reached March Madness since.
