The Golden State Warriors forward shared his thoughts on the blockbuster Doncic deal on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Friday, saying he was shocked because "superstars at 25 don't get traded." When Kimmel asked if he found it suspicious that the Mavs won the draft lottery so soon after the move, Green didn't shy away.
"Although he suspends me often and fines me often, I still consider Adam Silver a friend, so I'm not gonna do him like that," Green said. "But it may be a little suspicious. Just a tad."
Dallas had a 1.8% chance of earning the top pick but jumped from the 11th spot to first, marking the biggest leap by a franchise in lottery history. The Mavs are expected to select former Duke star Cooper Flagg.
This year's draft will get underway June 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
